Seam welders are used for longitudinal welding of rolled sheet metal envelops like vessels and tanks Seam welders are used for longitudinal welding of rolled sheet metal envelops like vessels and tanks. A particular application is continuous strip welding. Perfect mechanical positioning of the work pieces has to be ensured by an adapted clamping device allowing butt welding up to a wall thickness of 8 to 10 mm in conjunction with the Plasma keyhole process. TIG/GTAW cold/hot wire and MIG-MAG/GMAW are complementary welding processes. The seam welder is interfaced with our NC-weld control and becomes part of the integrated fully synchronised system.Main technical data
